Face-to-face Counselling in Staffordshire and
Online throughout the UK
I am a highly experienced counsellor who has supported NHS employees, whilst also working for a domestic abuse charity, and children’s charities. I work with adults, and young people.
Some of the issues I have helped my clients with include: bereavement, anxiety, bullying, trauma, domestic abuse, family dynamics, loss, relationships, resilience, retirement, redundancy, self-esteem, and work-life balance.
I am an accredited member of the NCPS as well as a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and am bound by their code of ethics and practice.
Although my background is in psychodynamic counselling, I work integratively dependant upon the needs of each individual client. I also hold an integrative diploma for working with Children and Young People.
I hold professional indemnity insurance and am registered with the ICO. I have an enhanced DBS and subscribe to the update service.
I work remotely over Zoom (or by telephone) throughout the UK and face-to-face in Staffordshire.
As your counsellor, my aim is to provide a safe, warm, genuine, nurturing and confidential space for you to explore your feelings and emotions at a pace that is comfortable for you. I am keen to ensure that you get exactly what you need from therapy and achieve the most out of every session.
Together we can explore your background to see if there are any thoughts or behaviour patterns that have led you to where you are today. I work integratively which means we will work collaboratively to discover the best way to help you process your issues and move forward with your life. You choose what is best for you.
Your counselling will take place in a confidential, and safe space. I will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgment. In the therapy space your thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
Anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings, relationship issues or trauma - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get control of. Counselling helps to gain a better understanding of what is causing these problems - and when you are ready, how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
By working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward. Every client is unique and it is up to you to decide when you are ready.

When working face-to-face - sessions take place in Stoke-on-Trent.
I currently have limited availability so please email me to discuss.
Individual sessions are for 50 minutes and usually take place on a weekly basis. I provide short-term and open-ended therapy.
Each session costs £45.00 for individuals and £60.00 for more than one person in the counselling room. Initial screening assessments are 30 minutes and cost £20.00 - they take place on the telephone and are an opportunity for us to see if we are the right fit to work together - there is no obligation to book any further sessions.
I accept payment by bank transfer 24 hours before our session. If you need to cancel a session, I ask for 24 hours notice otherwise you will need to pay for the missed session. Further details will be supplied once our first contact is made.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial screening assessment. This allows us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be beneficial for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
All enquires are usually answered within 48 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
I am an accredited member of the NCPS and a registered member of the BACP.
